artist statement
I use charcoal and graphite to evoke a sense of mystery and contemplation. My monochromatic palette allows me to explore the subtle interplay of light and shadow, creating spaces that invite the viewer to ponder the unknown. Death and rebirth are central to my work, reflecting the eternal cycle that permeates all living things. I approach death from a neutral perspective, seeing it as an intrinsic part of the natural order—a necessary process that fosters regeneration and new life.
Beyond these themes, my work explores fundamental human experiences—time, identity, love, loss, and transformation. These universal connections transcend cultures and histories, offering a space for reflection and shared understanding.
I see art as a vessel for communication, bridging personal narratives with collective realities.
